Jennifer Lopez was born into the Puerto Rican immigrant family in 1969. Lopez was a dancer throughout her early years. Her acting debut at the age of 16 in the role she played in My Little Girl, 1986. In 1991 Lopez got her break on television after she was a part of In Living Color as a professional dancer. Lopez took on the role of the main character in the police procedural Shades of Blue (2016-18), portraying an officer who is conflicted. Second Act (2018) was her satirical role, where she portrayed the woman who gets a high-profile job with a Manhattan firm after having her colleagues enhance her resume. Lopez then joined the cast of all females for Hustlers (2019) which is a tale about strippers who plot against their rich clients. In 2022 she starred in two marital-themed comedies. In the film Marry Me the protagonist, a budding pop star, after discovering that she's being duped by her lover, chooses to wed a mathematician that was at her concert. Shotgun Wedding is an action-packed film that follows a wedding which is ruined when guests are taken as hostages. The bride and groom must rescue their guests.
